DESCRIPTION:

ANTARES FIRE is a biodegradable synthetic fluid for use in plants particularly exposed to fire hazard or involving soil-contamination risks. ANTARES FIRE is formulated from synthetic esters and special additives and is classified as ISO-L-HFDU lubricant. ANTARES FIRE has very good fire-resistance thus reducing the possibilità of ignition by hot or molten metals, electric sparks, naked flames and similar potential sources of fire which can occur in case of leakage of fluid or rupture of the hydraulic circuit. This latter characteristic is attested to by the fact that it passes the Factory Mutual Standard Spray Flammability Test. ANTARES FIRE is a biodegradabile product with high viscosity index which permits its use over an extremely wide range of temperatures. It separates rapidly from water ensuring correct lubrication of the system. ANTARES FIRE is formulated with anticorrosive and antirust additives for the effective protection of all metal components of the circuit. ANTARES FIRE shows excellent antifoam properties for a rapid breakdown of foam and prevention of possible malfunctioning of the plant due to this cause.

APPLICATIONS:

ANTARES FIRE is specially suitable for use as hydraulic fluid indoors and out, when there is a fire hazard owing to the presence of very high temperature materials, such as in rolling mills or when other sources of ignition are present e.g. electric arcs, welders, etc. Thank to its biodegradability characteristics it finds particular application in farm- and earth-moving-machinery where accidental losses from the circuits could cause soil contamination.
